Smer-SD to initiate no-confidence motion in Igor Matovic soon

Opposition's Smer-SD will submit a motion to convene an extraordinary parliamentary session to oust Prime Minister Igor Matovic, TASR was told by party spokesman Jan Mazgut on Monday. The proposal collected signatures also from the independent lawmakers centred around Peter Pellegrini, who is launching his fledgling party Voice-SD. According to media reports, Matovic copied text from two books by three Slovak economists into his thesis on tax systems. In his Facebook post, the Prime Minister apologised to all honest students and conceded that he should lose his academic degree. However, he plans to step down no sooner than he meets all of his election promises.
