Smer-SD plans four special parlt sessions, first one on energy prices

The opposition Smer-SD party is filing a motion to convene a special session of parliament on energy prices, and it has already collected enough signatures to do so, party leader Robert Fico said on Tuesday. The party plans to initiate four special sessions in total. In addition to a session on energy prices, it plans to initiate others on increases in the prices of some food products, the consolidation of public finances and the vaccination of children. Fico said Smer-SD MPs strove to include energy and food prices and public finances in the agenda of the current session, but their proposals failed to make it through. He said the governing coalition was disinterested in these issues.
