Slovakia's UNFICYP Memorandum of Understanding Replaced by 2 New Ones

The current memorandum of understanding between Slovakia and the UN regarding Slovakia's contribution to the UNFICYP peacekeeping mission on Cyprus will be replaced by two new memorandums that were approved by the Government on Wednesday. While one of the new memorandums will concern Slovak engineer units, the other will deal with the Slovak infantry company stationed on the island. The replacement of the original memorandum by two new ones is intended to bring the factual situation into line with the legal situation.
