The Education Ministry-sponsored draft amendment to the University Act and new funding policies, which have been lambasted by several universities recently, will be adjusted, Education Ministry State Secretary Ludovit Paulis said on Tuesday following round-table talks between the Slovak Rectors' Conference, the University Council, the Student Council of Universities and the ministry. "We agreed that Slovak universities need changes and reforms that are in the common interest of all participants, meaning the ministry as well as individual university representations that arent against changes," said Paulis.
