Slovakia's government on Wednesday approved a proposal to conclude an agreement with the European Union on obtaining a loan worth 630.8 million euros to tackle the coronavirus crisis in the country. The government asked for the loan from the EU's temporary Support to mitigate Unemployment Risks in an Emergency (SURE) on August 6. It is meant to finance the Labour Ministry's budget expenditures. "The aim of the loan is to ensure the financing of special measures that have been introduced to mitigate the impacts of the pandemic on employment," reads the approved material.
