The slowdown in the performance of industry in April was reflected in sales, which fell by an annual 3 percent, and by 1.9 percent month-on-month, the Statistics Office has reported. The most significant impact came with a 14 percent decrease in sales car manufacture, followed by a 20.3 percent drop in the production of computers and a 5.6 percent fall in the energy sector. Mining and quarrying also contributed significantly to the negative sales development with a 33.1 percent decrease.
