Slovakia recorded lower growth in deficit and debt last year than EU average

Slovakia's public sector deficit accounted for 5.5 percent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP), or 5.062 billion euros, in 2020, an increase of 4.17 percentage points year on year, according to Slovakia's Summary Annual Report for 2020, which was approved by the Government on Wednesday. The public sector debt reached 55.01 billion, equalling 59.7 percent of GDP.
