Slovakia parlt rejects proposal for snap election

The current 2020-24 electoral term of parliament won't be shortened, as legislators rejected a bill drafted by Independents centred around Peter Pellegrini on Friday. The bill called for a snap election in September 2021 in response to what its authors see as the government's failure to address the coronavirus crisis.
