A group of opposition MPs led by Parliamentary Vice-chair Peter Pellegrini submitted draft anti-bureaucracy legislation to parliament on Thursday that had already been approved by the former government in December 2019. MP Richard Rasi said that the group had not held talks with any opposition or coalition party about supporting the amendment. "Although the new government has made a commitment to fighting red tape in its Government Manifesto, it hasn't taken any specific steps in this regard yet," said Rasi.
