Slovakia is holding talks with other EU member states on the mechanism for lending vaccines against Covid-19, Prime Minister Igor Matovic has said on social media. This should help Slovakia to bridge a period with very low vaccine supplies, he said. "I spent last week partly in communication with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen regarding vaccines. Based on this, the commission launched the so-called SOS vaccine-lending mechanism in order to bridge the period with very low supplies," Matovic said.
