Slovakia health professionals call on public to get vaccinated

More than 1,300 health-care professionals working in hospitals have supported a public call for citizens of Slovakia to get vaccinated against Covid. In a letter addressed to the public, they stressed that ever younger people are being admitted into hospital and that hospitals are having to reduce the number of planned operations. "The pandemic situation isn't good. I believe that the call signed by my colleagues will meet with a response from the public," Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky said on Monday.
