February 9th, 2021

Slovakia has the highest minimum wage among the Visegrad Group (V4) countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) this year, but the amount is still only around one-third of the figure in Luxembourg, FinGo.sk analyst Lenka Buchlakova has told TASR, adding that the Slovak minimum wage stands at 623 euros per month this year, while the figure for the neighbouring Czech Republic is 579 euros, with Hungary's at 442 and Poland's at 614 euros. According to the European statistical office Eurostat, the Slovak minimum wage ranks 13th among the 27 countries of the European Union.
