Slovakia govt scraps antigen test purchases for emergency stocks

Antigen tests will no longer have to be purchased in order to create emergency stocks, as the cabinet on Wednesday approved the scrapping of a proposal to provide emergency stocks based on a recommendation of the government's Pandemic Commission. Slovakia in mid-November 2020 joined a tender to purchase antigen test kits announced by the European Commission (EC). The EC signed framework contracts for buying antigen tests with companies on behalf of participating member states in late February.
