Slovakia govt approves reintroduction of pandemic parental allowance

October 28th, 2020

So-called pandemic parental allowances will be reintroduced in Slovakia after the cabinet on Wednesday approved a Labour Ministry regulation reacting to the deterioration in the situation. Parents whose claim for parental allowance expired during the coronavirus crisis because their child reached three or six years of age will be entitled to this benefit, along with those whose child's health has been unfavourable long term. "These people should receive parental allowance to the sum that they did before and until at least the end of the crisis," the Labour Ministry said.
