Slovakia govt approves changes to military exercises

May 29th, 2019

Slovakia's government on Wednesday approved changes to the deployment of the Slovak Armed Forces abroad and the presence of foreign armed forces in Slovakia for the purpose of military exercises in the first half of 2019. Members of foreign armed forces will train in Slovakia within the framework of SOF joint paratrooper training, Airborne Training and MFF 2019. The exercises will take place in May and June in Zilina, Kuchyna (Bratislava region), Trencin and the Lest military training facility (Banska Bystrica region). The Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia and Hungary will each send up to 30 soldiers, while the United States will send up to 80.
