Slovakia gives Kenya over EUR 200,000 to help fight COVID-19

Slovakia on Friday sent humanitarian aid worth 213,076 euros to Kenya in order to help the African country fight against the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, TASR learnt from Foreign and European Affairs Ministry's press department on the same day. "Slovakia has been active in Kenya under the SlovakAid brand since its inception in 2003. Kenya is one of the three countries in the Slovak Republic's developmental aid programme and our strategic partner in Sub Saharan Africa. It is therefore understandable that we'd like to help its inhabitants also in the fight against the novel coronavirus," stated ministry state secretary Ingrid Brockova.
