The three-month moving average of the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) fell by 1.9 points month-on-month in May to 95.1 points, mainly due to a decrease in confidence in services and construction and partly owing to a decline in confidence in trade, the Statistics Office reported on Wednesday. The current ESI lags behind the long-term average by 8.5 points and by 8.7 points in annual terms.
