Slovakia budget deficit EUR 3.4 bn at end-June

Slovakia's state budget posted a shortfall of 3.418 billion euros at the end of June, the Finance Ministry reported on Thursday. State-budget revenues increased by 1.69 billion euros year-on-year at the end of June to stand at 7.584 billion euros, while expenditures went up by 1.198 billion y-o-y to reach 11.002 billion euros. Tax revenues grew by 1.325 billion (or 26.7 percent) to amount to 6.278 billion euros. Positive developments were seen in value added tax of 743.9 million, in corporate income tax of 468.5 million and in personal income tax of 86.8 million euros.
