Transparency International's latest global ranking of the perception of corruption shows that Slovakia does not punish corruption in senior state posts, as it was placed 59th, two spots lower than the year before and five lower than at the beginning of the electoral term in 2016. Head of Transparency International Slovakia (TIS) Gabriel Sipos, who on Thursday presented the results, said that only five EU-member countries ended up below Slovakia - Hungary, Greece, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
