September 18th, 2020

The rate of registered unemployment reached 7.60 percent in August, dropping by 0.05 percentage points (p.p.) month-on-month and increasing by 2.63 p.p. in yearly terms, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVaR) reported on Friday. This means that the unemployment rate declined for the first time since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.
