				The rate of registered unemployment reached 7.60 percent in August, dropping by 0.05 percentage points (p.p.) month-on-month and increasing by 2.63 p.p. in yearly terms, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVaR) reported on Friday. This means that the unemployment rate declined for the first time since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis. The number of jobseekers available to take up jobs immediately reached 208,362 in August, a drop of 1,424 compared to July.
