Slovak travel ban to take effect on Sat

The ban on travelling abroad for recreational purposes will be effective from Saturday on, TASR was told by spokesman for the Transport and Construction Ministry Ivan Rudolf on Thursday. "The decision to ban travelling abroad with the aim of recreation was adopted by the government based on the recommendation of the pandemic commission. The measure is to come into force from the day when the state of emergency is extended, that is from Saturday," said Rudolf. The measure is a response to the unfavourable pandemic situation not only in Slovakia but also in other countries.
