The Transport Ministry stated on Tuesday that it isn't aware of any legal reasons why the state-run rail company Zeleznice SR shouldn't have signed the contract on modernising a railway stretch near Trencin with TSS Grade. According media reports, the Public Procurement Office has ruled that the tender should be re-evaluated. The commission was assigned to a consortium headed by TSS Grade, which is allegedly close to Smer-SD sponsors, for around 240 million euros, while Skanska offered to build the stretch for 40 million euros less.
