Slovak transport minister ready to sign his first motorway construction contract

Transport Minister Jan Pociatek (Smer-SD) is to sign his first contract on motorway construction as early as May 10, Hospodarske Noviny daily reports on Friday. The commission for construction of the 10-km D1 section from Levoca heading toward Presov will allegedly be granted to a consortium of French companies Eurovia SK and Eurovia CS, which plans to build the section for 126.2 millio euros. Even though still officially undisclosed, the information was confirmed for the daily by a well-informed source.
