Slovakia posted a trade-balance surplus of 311.4 million euros in March 2019, down 192.6 million euros year-on-year, the Statistics Office reported for on Friday. The country exported goods worth 7.316 billion euros, up by 5.1 percent y-o-y. Imports reached 7.004 billion euros, rising by 8.5 percent y-o-y. Meanwhile, Slovakia reported a foreign trade surplus of 1.033 billion euros in the January-March period, up by 279.4 million euros y-o-y. Goods worth a total of 20.772 billion euros were exported, recording an increase of 8.5 percent y-o-y. Imports amounted to 19.739 billion euros, up by 7.3 percent.
