The Constitutional Court will review the constitutionality of the amendment to the Social Insurance Act which introduced the 13th pension payment in Slovakia, court chairman Ivan Fiacan said on Wednesday. At its non-public session on Wednesday, the Constitutional Court decided that President Zuzana Caputova's proposal in this matter was received for further proceedings. In her filing, the president did not object to the content of the challenged law but to the legislative process in which it was adopted. According to Caputova, this was a "gross and unprecedented abuse of the institute of fast-tracked legislative proceedings, which has no parallel in Slovakia's legislative history".
