Slovak tax revenues to be down by 5.6 pc due to virus

June 30th, 2020

Slovakia's tax income this year is estimated to drop by 1.6 billion euros (5.6 percent) year-on-year to 27.4 billion euros, the Institute of Finance Policy (IFP) said on Tuesday. Even though these figures are better than those estimated in April, the coronavirus-induced economic decline and legislative measures adopted in 2019 will take their toll. Meanwhile, the labour market and household consumption look better in the latest prognosis than they did in April, noted IFP.
