Slovak soldiers could strengthen two EU missions in Africa

Slovak troops could strengthen European Union training missions in Africa, with five members of the Slovak Armed Forces possibly operating in the EUTM Mali Operation and two in EUTM RCA, TASR was told by Defence Ministry spokeswoman Martina Koval Kakascikova on Friday. The ministry points out that the deployment of professional soldiers is conditional on the consent of the Government and subsequently of Parliament. "Given the individual steps and time frames of the legislative process, their deployment is expected by the end of this year," noted the spokeswoman.
