A prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office has filed a motion to remand two men who tried to bribe Agriculture Ministry State Secretary Martin Fecko in custody, arguing that they could influence witnesses and continue their criminal activities at large. The two men were detained on Wednesday. "They allegedly promised [Fecko] 60,000 euros in cash or 5 percent of the value of a project if he would sign a related contract on a state commission for creating and introducing an information system," said Police Corps spokesman Michal Slivka, adding that Fecko reported this to the police and no bribe was handed over.
