Slovak president appoints 12 new judges to serve in general courts

Slovak President Zuzana Caputova appointed 12 new judges to serve in general courts with lifetime tenures at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava on Thursday. She appealed in her speech for judicial independence, expressing hope that the judges won't view their independence as their own privilege but as a constitutional right of people who expect justice.
