Slovak PM: State a better manager than private health insurers

The state, hence also the state-owned health insurer VsZP, husbands its resources better than the privately-owned health insurers, Prime Minister Igor Matovic (OLaNO) said at a press conference on Wednesday. Matovic blamed former premiers Robert Fico (2012-18) and Peter Pellegrini (2018-20) for creating such a re-distribution of finances in the Slovak health system that has sapped 243 million euros from the state-owned VsZP since 2017.
