Slovak PM on religious holidays

All existing religious holidays appear to be part of an international treaty and it might not be possible to scrap them, said Premier Robert Fico after meeting representatives of the Catholic Church on Tuesday. Fico noted that calls to reduce the number of religious holidays have come from representatives of employers, who view this as a possible way of compensating for losses vis-a-vis the consolidation of public finances.
