Slovak PM: Coalition agrees police chief should be hand-picked by interior minister

Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) said on Monday that according to an agreement reached by the coalition the leader of the Police Corps should be chosen personally by the interior minister, explaining that the police chief should be hand-picked by the minister and the hearing by the parliamentary defence and security committee should be only of a consultative nature in future.
