Slovak parlt rejects proposal to increase health budget

Parliament on Thursday failed to pass an amendment to the State Budget Act submitted by independent MP Richard Rasi to its second reading. The aim of Rasis bill was to transfer 500 million euros from the government reserve for negative impacts of the pandemic to the public health insurance system. The MP argued that the money would help to prevent a further exodus of Slovak health workers and that it would ensure medicines for patients.
