Slovak parlt rejects Smer's bill on reintroducing banking levy

Parliament on Tuesday rejected a draft bill aiming to reintroduce a special banking levy that was submitted by Smer-SD MPs. The sponsors of the bill justified it with a need to seek all resources to consolidate public finances and mitigate the impacts of hikes in energy charges.
