The education ministry will earmark nearly 11 million euros to reward teachers for their work during the pandemic with a special bonus, Education Minister Branislav Groehling said on Friday. The bonus will concern 78,000 employees at schools and it will be worth approximately 100 euros. According to the minister, teachers are currently going through a rough patch due to the coronavirus pandemic. Groehling noted that the money is meant to be an appreciation of how they have been coping with the situation. The minister said the bonus would be paid to teachers in December or in January.
