Slovak ministries obliged to save 10 pc of their expenses

June 17th, 2020

Individual ministries have been tasked to reduce their expenditure by 10 percent, TASR was told by several ministers following the Government meeting on Wednesday. Finance Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) explained that the savings should be in hundreds of millions of euros. "We've defined in the Stability Program that consolidation is needed. We need to agree on what exactly will be part of the consolidation but we've made it clear that we'll start by the state saving on itself," said Heger, adding that the savings should affect services, goods and they should also focus on employee efficiency.
