Slovak justice ministry proposes harsher maximum sentence for online sexual predators

The Justice Ministry has proposed an amendment to the Penal Code that would increase the maximum sentence for online sexual predators from the current three to six years in prison. The punishment would concern cases in which a sexual predator proposes a face-to-face meeting via electronic means to a minor under 15 years of age with the intention of committing the crime of sexual abuse or producing child pornography.
