Slovak finance ministry announces bid for RRZ chief post

The finance ministry has announced a public contest for the post of Budgetary Responsibility Council (RRZ) chairman, Finance Minister Eduard Heger told a news conference on Tuesday, adding that adopting the law on budgetary responsibility was important. The tenure of current RRZ chairman Ivan Sramko expired on June 26, 2019, and his successor has not yet been elected. The RRZ chief is elected and dismissed by parliament with a three-fifths majority of votes based on the government's proposal.
