Slovak Economy Minister Sulik resigns

March 22nd, 2021

Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) leader, Vice-premier and Economy Minister Richard Sulik held a news conference on Monday to announce he is stepping down from his post. Sulik has already delivered his resignation to President Zuzana Caputova and is due to meet her on Tuesday. Sulik said that with his resignation, he had met Prime Minister Igor Matovic's "personal personnel requirements concerning the government and it can be reconstructed now, as we have been requesting for more than a week." He added that there was now nothing that would prevent Matovic from resigning.
