The quality of democracy in Slovakia was classified with a 2.9 grade in the first half of this year, amounting to a year-on-year drop of 0.1 percentage point, according to the IVO Barometer survey carried out by the Public Affairs Institute (IVO). The survey, released on Monday, is designed to periodically assess the quality of democracy in Slovakia, with grade 1 being the best and 5 the worst. The field faring worst in the survey was human and minority rights (3.1 grade), outperformed by independent media (3), democratic institutions, the rule of law (2.9 both) and legislation (2.6).
