Slovak-born violinist becomes Vienna Symphonic Orchestra concertmaster

The Vienna Symphonic Orchestra has appointed Slovak-born violinist Dalibor Karvay, 34, as its concertmaster. Karvay was born in Vrutky and started playing the violin under the mentorship of his father. He's won many international competitions, among them the 2002 Eurovision Young Musicians.
