Slovak bishops call special fast to prevent coronavirus spread

The Episcopal Conference of Slovakia informed TASR on Thursday that it has declared a special fast meant to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. "If you're healthy, please accept our invitation to observe a strict fast and prayers during the upcoming Fridays of Lent. Let's do this according to the strict rules that are observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Let's make a sacrifice with this fast and our prayers to prevent the spread of the disease," the Conference said in its statement.
