Deputy Prosecutor-General Viera Kovacikova has asked the Belgian federal prosecutor for a working meeting at which the two sides would discuss next steps in the case of the death of Slovak national Jozef Chovanec in police custody, TASR learnt from Special Prosecutor's Office spokeswoman Jana Tokolyova on Friday. "The initiative of the deputy was met with maximum response from the federal prosecutor-general, and the two sides agreed on a working meeting that will take place on September 28, 2020 at the Belgian Federal Prosecutor's Office in Brussels in the presence of Eurojust President Ladislav Hamran," Tokolyova said.
