Slovak accommodation facilities see 98.5 pc tumble in April due to Covid-19

Hotels, guest houses and other accommodation facilities in Slovakia saw a 98.5 percent slump in the number of guests in April due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Statistics Office reported on Monday. It was mainly only customers of spas and foreign students who were still using Slovak accommodation facilities in April. "Tourism was one of the sectors most affected by the measures aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19," the Statistics Office noted, specifying that this included the almost complete closure of tourist facilities and drastic restrictions on national and international travel.
