Sliac air base to be modernised to receive F-16s

The Slovak defence ministry on Wednesday announced plans to reconstruct and modernise the Sliac Air Base in central Slovakia for 55.38 million euros, stating that the base's current condition wouldn't comply with the use of 14 new F-16 C/D Block 70 fighters due to be delivered from the United States.
