Meteorologists warned of afternoon heatwave in western Slovakia, with air temperatures forecast to hit 33 degrees Celsius, prompting the Slovak Hydrometeorological Office (SHMU) to issue first-degree heat alert. The warning applies for Bratislava region and districts of Komarno, Sala, Dunajska Streda and Galanta. "Heatwaves pose a potential danger for human health, physical activities and the creation of fires," reads the text.
