Medical workers should apply the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine to people after 12 weeks, which makes the vaccine 81 percent effective, Czech vaccinology expert Roman Chlibek said on Monday, adding that the Health Ministry will recommend this interval in its methodical instruction this week. AstraZeneca is also 75 percent effective against the British mutation of coronavirus which has been spreading in the Czech Republic recently, Chlibek told journalists. According to official documents on AstraZeneca, the vaccine should be applied in two doses with an interval from four to 12 weeks.
