Scholz in Prague backs Kyiv's EU entry, switch to majority vote

The insistence on EU unanimity is possible where quick decisions are not needed, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in Prague today, adding that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has changed the situation and proposing that the EU switch to the qualified majority principle. He said he understood smaller countries' apprehensions and called for countries' efforts to find a compromise.
