SaS underlines importance of 1944 Uprising's legacy, warns of creeping fascism

It's still important to commemorate the fight for freedom, democracy and dignity during the 1944 Slovak National Uprising (SNP), the coalition's SaS party declared on the 78th anniversary of the SNP on Monday. While saying this, the SaS party warned of gradual legitimization of fascism in Slovak politics. "The open cooperation of democratic parties with fascist politicians who impugn the legacy of the SNP and adore non-democratic regimes even today is truly shameful," said House Vice-chair Milan Laurencik (SaS).
