SaS to support increased VAT on Russian oil in parliament in September

The Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party will support a finance ministry-sponsored motion to tax the processing of Russian oil, party head and Economy Minister Richard Sulik said on Tuesday, adding that SaS will simultaneously submit a proposal to lower VAT on fuels from the current 20 to 8 percent. Voting on the bill has been already postponed twice in parliament due to SaS's demand that another tax should be lowered as a compensatory move.
